Yep…been gone awhile. No reason…I’m not that interesting, been busy, same old same old, holidays, vacation, work ..so there you go.

Favorite Jan workout: I’ve had some great cross training sessions of late including some ‘extended’ repeats on the Jacob’s Ladder which is just pure evil I swear.
Favorite race/run: Last Sunday was a very hill 26km run. It was very cold but sunny and though the route was hilly, it made it interesting to have 3 hrs go by relatively quickly. A view 2km into our run with the Lift Bridge in Hamilton wayyyy in the distance, courtesy of my IRL friend.
Current reads: I need a book bad. Not a powerpoint presentation, not a training schedule, not an audit report…a BOOK.
Current Shame Inducing Guilty Pleasure: Hot Yoga for sure. I know it is expensive and I did what I could to take advantage of their discounts but it is really helping me physically and mentally.

Current Wish List: to keep being strong on our long runs. I have a tendency to do well and then they really start to suck. I am trying to keep an eye on my self and if it is just me mentally giving up or needing a break. (whatever that is…)
Current Bane of my existence: New Year’s resolutions. Now hear me out…I am not against January Joiners etc at all. I get more frustrated with people who think things will change just because of a date. I WAS one of those people – I will diet on Monday, I will join a run program and that will help. YOU HAVE TO BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE.
Fav recipes: I have been eating a lot of Kale lately – Kale chips, smoothie kale, kale mixed in with a stir fry. This week I sauteed Kale with pistachios, olive oil, parm and lemon juice. So.good.
Current excitement: You know those contests to win trips? And you are never sure if anyone wins them? Apparently they do as the Hubs one a trip to Grand Cayman. I am assuming he is taking me.
